Scope

This standard specifies the potassium bromide volumetric method (potentiometric titration method) for the determination of silver content in silver alloy jewelry. This standard applies to silver alloy jewelry, handicrafts and their materials with a silver content of 800‰～999‰. This standard is designated by GB 11887 as an arbitration method for the determination of silver content in silver jewelry.
