- This standard specifies the reagents, materials, instruments and equipment, method steps and presentation of results required for the determination of silver content in silver alloy jewelry by the potassium bromide volumetric method (potentiometric titration method). This standard applies to silver jewelry and its materials with a silver content of 80.0% to 99.9%. Note: The silver alloy may contain tin, zinc and cadmium, and the existence of these elements will not interfere with the determination method.
