Scope: This standard specifies the test methods for three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors. This standard is applicable to self-starting three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors. The test of synchronous motors powered by static variable frequency power supply can be used as a reference. It is not applicable to synchronous motors with DC excitation windings.
