Scope

This section presents hot surface temperature factors for electrical equipment, factors affecting the burn threshold, and data on the burn threshold. This section is applicable to the selection and determination of the burn threshold for electrical equipment hot surface burn risk assessment. Surface burn thresholds for thermally functional devices are not considered in this section.
