- Scope
- This standard stipulates the basic parameters and types, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of vertical grinders. This standard applies to single-phase series excitation, three-phase power frequency and three-phase intermediate frequency vertical grinders (hereinafter referred to as grinders) that use general-purpose flat grinding wheels to grind steel with a circumferential surface under general environmental conditions. This standard does not apply to other types of sanding tools such as straight bowl grinders and hand-held flexible shaft grinders.
