Scope

This part of GB/T 12706 specifies the structure, size and test requirements of extruded insulated power cables with rated voltage 35KV for fixed installation in distribution networks or industrial installations. When deciding on the cable application, it is recommended to consider the possible risk of radial water ingress. This standard covers tests for cables of so-called longitudinal water-blocking and radial water-proof constructions (see annex F for test methods). This section does not cover cables for special installation and operating conditions, such as cables for overhead lines, nuclear power plants for the mining industry (in and near containment), and cables for underwater or on ships.
