Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of calcium hydroxide for use in is lation oxygen breathing apparatus and self-rescuers. This standard applies to calcium hydroxide (hereinafter referred to as: calcium hydroxide) used to absorb carbon dioxide in is lation oxygen respirators and self-rescuers.
