Scope

This standard specifies the acidity method and turbidity method for the determination of sulfur dioxide content in starch and its derivatives. This standard applies to the determination of starch and its derivatives sulfur dioxide. The acidity method is suitable for samples with sulfur dioxide content higher than 16mg/kg, and the turbidity method is suitable for samples with sulfur dioxide content lower than 16mg/kg.
