This standard specifies the basic requirements for marine low-voltage electrical appliances (hereinafter referred to as electrical appliances), including terms and definitions, symbols and codes, characteristics, normal use, installation and transportation conditions, structure and performance requirements, and testing requirements. This standard applies to control appliances and power distribution appliances (hereinafter referred to as appliances) for ships, mobile and fixed offshore installations with a voltage of AC 1000 V or DC 1500 V and below.
