GB/T 17040-2008 Standard test method for sulfur in petrolem and petroleum products by energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (English Version)
This standard specifies the test method for the determination of sulfur content in petroleum and petroleum products by energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry. This standard applies to the determination of sulfur content in hydrocarbons including diesel oil, naphtha, kerosene, residual oil, lubricating base oil, hydraulic oil, jet fuel, crude oil, motor gasoline, and other distillates. In addition, for the sulfur content of other products, such as M85 and M100, this standard can also be used for analysis. The measured sulfur content range (mass fraction) from 0.0150% to 5.00%. This standard uses the International System of Units (SI) units. The mass fraction of sulfur content is expressed in %. This standard addresses certain hazardous materials, practices and equipment. However, it does not advise on all security issues related to this. Therefore, it is necessary for users to establish appropriate safety precautions and determine appropriate management systems before using this standard. See Chapter 7 for some special precautionary instructions.
