Scope
This part of GB/T 18964 specifies the nomenclature system for impact-resistant polystyrene (PS-I) thermoplastic materials. This system can be used as a basis for classification. Different types of PS-I thermoplastic materials are distinguished by a classification system based on the values of the following specified characteristic properties and recommended uses and (or) processing methods, important properties, additives, colorants, fillers and reinforcing materials: a ) Vicat softening temperature; b) melt mass flow rate; c) notched Charpy impact strength; d) flexural modulus. This section applies to all impact-resistant polystyrene polymer systems composed of polystyrene and (or) copolymers of alkyl-substituted styrene and styrene as the continuous phase and the rubber phase of butadiene as the dispersed phase. Vinyl. This section applies to unmodified or modified materials such as colorants, additives, fillers, etc. for general use. This section does not apply to expandable materials.
