Scope

This part of GB/T 18964 specifies the methods for sample preparation and performance determination of impact-resistant polystyrene (PS-I) molding and extrusion materials. This part also specifies the requirements for the pretreatment of the test material and the condition adjustment of the sample before the test. This section specifies the methods and conditions for sample preparation and performance determination. This section lists properties and test methods suitable and necessary for characterizing PS-I molding and extrusion materials. These properties are selected from ISO 10350-1 passing test methods. This section also specifies other test methods widely used or of special significance for molding and extrusion materials, as well as the determination methods of the named properties in Part 1. In order to obtain reproducible and comparable test results, the method of sample preparation and condition conditioning, sample size and test method specified in this section should be used. Test data obtained using specimens prepared under different conditions or using specimens of different dimensions may not be consistent.
