GB/T 21461.1-2008 Plastics.Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene(PE-UHMW)moulding and extrusion materials.Part 1:Designation system and basis for specifications (English Version)
This part of GB/T 21461 specifies the nomenclature system for ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW) thermoplastic materials. This system can be used as a basis for classification. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW) in this section refers to polyethylene materials with a melt mass flow rate (MFR) of less than 0.1g/10min at a temperature of 190°C and a load of 21.6kg. This section applies to all PE-UHMW homopolymers and other copolymers with a mass fraction of 1-olefin monomers less than 50% and non-olefin monomers with functional groups not exceeding 3%. This section applies to materials that are conventionally in the form of powders, granules or crumbs, unmodified or modified by colorants, fillers, etc. This section does not imply that the named materials must have the same properties. This section does not provide engineering data, performance data, or processing condition data necessary to describe a particular use and/or processing method for the material. If necessary, these additional properties can be determined according to the test methods specified in Part 2 of this standard. In order to explain the special use of a certain PE-UHMW material or to ensure the reproducibility of processing, additional requirements can be given in the fifth character group.
