Scope: This standard specifies two methods for the acidity or alkalinity of water extracts of paper, cardboard and pulp: the titration method and the pH meter method. The titration method in this standard is applicable to the determination of acidity or alkalinity of general paper, cardboard and pulp water extract, not applicable to paper and cardboard containing alkaline fillers or coatings. The pH meter method is suitable for all kinds of paper, cardboard and pulp with the conductivity of the water extraction liquid exceeding 0.2mS/m.
