Scope
This standard specifies the heat transfer properties (effective thermal conductivity, thermal resistance, and thermal conductance) of porous metal materials used in heat sinks for cooling electronic devices with large heat generation density, in one direction, in the range from room temperature to 40 OK. This section specifies the testing method using the steady heat flow comparison method (hereinafter referred to as the SCHF method).
