Scope

This standard specifies the definition and display of shape deviation, posture deviation, position deviation, and runout (hereinafter collectively referred to as geometric deviation) of an object. Remarks: The display of geometric tolerances, which are allowable values for geometric deviations, using period codes and their illustration methods are in accordance with JIS B 0021 (Methods of illustration of geometric tolerances).
