Scope: This section specifies methods for manual sampling of iron ore. This section applies to natural iron ore and processed iron ore to obtain samples for determination of particle size distribution, moisture content, chemical composition and physical properties. These methods are suitable for the collection of iron ore samples from conveyor belts, railway wagons, containers (including trucks), ships and stockpiles.
