Scope
This part of QX 10 specifies the principles for the selection and use of surge protective devices (SPDs) used in low-voltage electrical systems to protect against direct lightning strikes, lightning electromagnetic pulses and other transient or temporary overvoltages. This section applies to low-voltage electrical systems with AC (frequency 48Hz ~ 62Hz) rated voltage not exceeding 1000V (rms) or DC voltage not exceeding 1500V.
