Scope: This standard specifies the methods for classifying the transport packaging categories of various dangerous goods. This standard is applicable to the basis for determining the packaging category when the production, storage, transportation and inspection departments of dangerous goods conduct performance tests and inspections on the transport packaging of dangerous goods. This standard does not apply to: a) transport packaging containing explosives; b) pressure vessels containing gas; c) transport packaging containing organic peroxides and self-reactive substances; d) transport packaging containing infectious substances; e) Transport packages containing radioactive substances; f) Transport packages containing miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles; g) Packages with a net mass greater than 400kg; h) Packages with a volume greater than 450L. Special requirements shall be handled in accordance with relevant regulations.
