Warning—hydrochloric acid is highly corrosive, and the operator should take appropriate safety and health measures, and those in contact should wear protective equipment such as protective glasses and acid-resistant gloves. This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, labels, packaging, transportation and storage of food additive hydrochloric acid. This standard is applicable to the food additive hydrochloric acid obtained by synthesis of chlorine and hydrogen and absorbed by water. The product is used as an acidity regulator in food processing and a processing aid in the food industry.
