Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the determination of the density of textile fibers by the technique of measuring the resonant frequency with a vibrating instrument. This standard applies to a single textile fiber with uniform linear density per unit within the test length range. Hollow and flat chemical fibers with high degree of irregularity can be used as a reference.
