- This standard specifies the basic procedures for ultrasonic flaw detection from the inner surface of cylindrical forgings. This standard applies to manual testing methods, but does not limit the use of other testing methods, such as mechanized or automated testing methods. This standard applies to cylindrical forgings with an inner diameter of ≥63.5mm. This standard does not address safety issues related to use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health precautions and determine its applicability prior to use.
