Scope
This section details a method for measuring the translational dynamic stiffness of an elastic support under a given preload condition. The method mainly involves the laboratory measurement of the vibration transmissibility, known as the profile measurement method. This method is suitable for test parts with parallel connections. The applicable frequency range of this measurement method is f2~f3 obtained by using the method in this part. The values of f2 and f3 depend on the test device and the vibration isolator to be tested, usually 20Hz≤f2≤50Hz; 2kHz≤f3≤5kHz. The measurement data obtained by the methods in this part can be used for: - product information provided by manufacturers and suppliers; - information required in the product development process; - quality control: - calculation of the vibration transmission rate through the vibration isolator .
