Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of hermetic motor-compressors used in refrigerators. See GB 4706.17 "Special Requirements for Safety Motor-Compressors for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances" for the safety requirements of compressors. This standard is applicable to fully enclosed electric motor-compressors with a nominal cooling capacity not exceeding 400W under the working conditions specified in this standard, used by household and similar electric refrigeration appliances with low back pressure refrigerants R600a and R134a (hereinafter referred to as the compressor). The refrigerant can be used as a reference for other types of similar compressors. This standard does not apply to car refrigerator compressors.
