Scope: This standard specifies the test method for the corrosion resistance of materials or products in an atmosphere containing sulfur dioxide and condensation conditions. The wood standard applies to corrosion tests of metallic and inorganic coatings. This standard does not apply to corrosion tests of coatings and varnish coatings. The results of this test cannot be directly used as a guide for the corrosion resistance of the tested materials in various environments encountered during use, nor can they be used as a direct guide for the relative corrosion resistance of different materials during use.
