Scope

This standard specifies the gas chromatography/mass spectrometry method for the determination of six phthalate plasticizers (see Appendix A for specific names) including DBP, BBP, DEHP, DNOP, DINP and DIDP in toys and children's products. The detection of diformic acid esters can also refer to this standard. This standard applies to toys and children's products containing polyvinyl chloride materials.
