- This standard specifies the method for the determination of partial acid value (method A) and total acid value (method B) of polyester resins for plastics, and binders for paints and varnishes. This standard does not apply to phenolic resins. This International Standard is intended to provide quality control data for judging product acceptability and for controlling the completion of polycondensation reactions in research and production.
