Scope

This standard specifies the safety and quality requirements for instruments and components used in classroom teaching and laboratories of schools and training institutions, as well as additional requirements for mechanical performance, high and low temperature, noise and vibration, ionizing radiation, non-ionizing radiation and electrical safety. This standard deals only with the safety of components of teaching instruments and not with other characteristics, such as style and characteristics. This standard applies to instruments and components used in classroom teaching and laboratories in schools and training institutions.
