- This standard specifies the technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, product marking, packaging and transportation of plutonium-beryllium neutron sources. This standard applies to the preparation and inspection of plutonium-beryllium neutron sources of different specifications and uses made of plutonium beryllium dioxide and metal beryllium powder. For other special-purpose plutonium-beryllium neutron sources with similar structures, this standard can also be used with reference to this standard, but the technical requirements related to sealing performance, safety performance level, etc. cannot be lower than the provisions of this standard.
