Scope: This standard specifies different leak test methods for sealed radioactive sources, and formulates a set of comprehensive test procedures using radioactive and non-radioactive methods. This standard is applicable to the following types of control: a) When classifying prototype sealed radioactive sources according to GB4075, the quality control is carried out to make the inspection required to determine the classification effective; b) Production control of various sealed radioactive sources; c) Periodic inspection of sealed radioactive sources at specified intervals during their useful life. Appendix A of this standard (standard appendix) gives suggestions to guide users in selecting the most appropriate inspection method according to the type of control and type of sealed radioactive source. This standard does not provide for those special circumstances that require special inspection. For the production, use, storage and transportation of sealed radioactive sources, in addition to complying with this standard, they should also meet the requirements of relevant laws and regulations of our country.
