This standard specifies the requirements, testing, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of rotating electrical machines for plateau railway locomotives. This standard is applicable to rotating motors for railway locomotives under environmental conditions above 1000m and below 5100m. Other rotating motors used in high altitude areas can also be used with reference. This standard does not apply to AC motors and tachogenerators powered by power electronic converters.
