Scope

This standard specifies the general method for the determination of trace moisture by Karl Fischer reagent in chemical reagents. This standard applies to the determination of trace moisture in chemical reagent products. This standard does not apply to the determination of moisture in samples that can react with the main components of Karl Fischer reagent and generate water and samples that can reduce iodine or oxidize iodide.
