Scope

This part specifies the measurement principle, equipment, sample preparation, test procedure and calculation method of the coefficient of thermal expansion of graphite electrodes. This part applies to ordinary power, high power, ultra-high power graphite electrodes and other solid carbon materials whose total expansion does not exceed 1 mm at 600 °C. The temperature range is the average linear expansion coefficient from room temperature to 600 °C.
