Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the content of catechins in tea leaves by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and the method for determining the content of tea polyphenols in tea leaves by spectrophotometry. This standard applies to the determination of catechins and tea polyphenols in tea and tea products.
