This part presents requirements for preventing physical damage to buildings by employing a lightning protection system (LPS) and avoiding danger to life due to touch and step voltages in the vicinity of the LPS. This section applies to: a) LPS design, installation, inspection and maintenance of buildings of any height; b) Protection measures against personal hazards caused by contact and step voltage.
