Scope

This standard specifies a method for the determination of sediment content in crude oil by centrifugation. This standard is applicable to crude oil produced by leaching or pressing with a sediment content ranging from 0.03mL/100g to 15mL/100g. This method is not applicable to lipids that are not liquid at 20°C.
