- Scope
- This standard specifies the enzymatic method for the determination of cis,cis 1,4-diene structure polyunsaturated fatty acids in animal and vegetable oils, which actually refers to linoleic acid with ω3 and ω6 polyunsaturated structures (9,12- octadecadienoic acid) and linolenic acid (9,12,15-octadecatrienoic acid) series. This standard does not apply to the determination of ω8 and ω9 polyunsaturated fatty acids and branched-chain fatty acids in oils and fats.
