- This Part establishes the specifications and requirements for downhole screw pumps used in the oil and gas industry. A progressive cavity pump system is a single-phase or multi-phase flow oil recovery system and follows the definitions given in Chapter 2. This section applies to downhole screw pump systems. It mentions but does not include intermediate parts and accessories necessary to form a complete pump system. This section does not cover the requirements for loading and unloading, sea transportation and land transportation.
