Scope: This standard specifies the design, operation instructions and test methods of the "Venturi differential pressure liquid adding ejector". This "Venturi differential pressure liquid addition injector" is used in irrigation systems to inject soluble chemicals into the system, including liquid fertilizers, water-soluble liquid fertilizers, acids, caustic solutions, pesticides, herbicides and others liquid additives. This standard does not include backflow prevention devices into potable water supplies. Installations close to Venturi-type ejectors are included in the Waterproofing Specifications.
