- Scope
- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, forms and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, test conditions, test methods, signs and packaging of vernier calipers, dial calipers and digital calipers. This standard is applicable to vernier calipers, dial calipers and digital calipers with division values/resolutions of 0.01 mm, 0.02 mm, 0.05 mm and 0.10 mm, and measuring ranges from (0 to 70) mm to (0 to 4 000) mm (hereinafter referred to as "Caliper").
