- This standard specifies the standard reference conditions for measuring and calculating the pressure and temperature of natural gas, natural gas substitutes and similar gaseous fluids. Standard Reference Conditions are primarily used for custody transfer to unify the various physical properties used to describe the temperament and quantity of natural gas to a common baseline.
