- Scope
- This standard specifies the type test and test requirements for accessories for power cables with rated voltages from 3.6/6 kV (7.2 kV) to 26/35 kV (40.5 kV). This standard does not cover cable accessories used under special conditions, such as accessories for overhead cables, submarine cables or marine cables. After carrying out the corresponding test according to 7.1, it will be approved by this standard. With the agreement of the buyer, if the manufacturer has satisfactory operating experience, it is not necessary to carry out the type test for the accessories. Once an accessory has successfully passed the tests, these tests need not be repeated unless there is a change in material, design or manufacturing process that could affect the operating characteristics.
