- This standard specifies the method and test parameters for determining the impact strength of thermoplastic pipes used for fluid transportation by Charpy impact test. This standard applies to homopolymerized and copolymerized polypropylene (PP-H, PP-B, PP-R) pipes, unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) pipes, modified high-impact polyvinyl chloride ( PVC—Hi) pipes, chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC—C) pipes, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene and acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylic (ABS, ASA) pipes.
