Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate, order (or contract) content and safety of dimethyl carbonate. This standard applies to dimethyl carbonate products produced by the transesterification method of propylene carbonate and methanol. This product is widely used to prepare low-boiling point solvents, cleaning agents, propellants and solvents for special paints.
