- This standard specifies the technical requirements, statistical scope and calculation method, energy-saving management and measures for the quota of energy consumption per unit product (hereinafter referred to as energy consumption) of caustic soda by electrolysis (diaphragm method and ion-exchange membrane method). This standard is applicable to the calculation and assessment of energy consumption of caustic soda production enterprises by electrolysis (diaphragm method and ionic membrane method), as well as the energy consumption control of new projects.
