- Scope
- This standard specifies the reagents, instruments and equipment, operation steps, result calculation and precision for determining the total moisture in coal. Drying in a stream of nitrogen (Method A1 and Method B1) is suitable for all coal types; drying in a stream of air (Method A2 and Method B2) is suitable for bituminous and anthracite coals; microwave drying (Method C) is suitable for bituminous coals and lignite. Method A1 is used as the arbitration method.
