Scope

This standard specifies the principles, definitions, symbols and descriptions of the metal wire and rivet double shear test, sample and its size measurement, test equipment, performance measurement and test report. The shear strength of metal wires and rivets of 6 mm (not greater than 10 mm for materials with lower shear strength).
