This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and order form content for high-purity tantalum pentoxide. This standard applies to high-purity tantalum pentoxide produced by liquid-liquid extraction. The products are used for the production of tantalate crystals and as optical glass additives.
