Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of sulfate in industrial circulating cooling water and boiler water. This standard applies to the determination of not less than 10 mg/L sulfate (calculated as SO₄,²) in industrial circulating cooling water and boiler water. This standard does not apply to the determination of sulfate in industrial circulating cooling water using barium salt scale inhibitors and dispersants.
