Scope
This Standard specifies rubber insulated and braided cords and rubber insulated and rubber or polychloroprene or other equivalent synthetic elastomer sheathed cords and flexible cables of rated voltages up to and including 450/750 V. All cables should comply with the appropriate requirements given in JIS C 3663-1 and the individual types of cables should each comply with the particular requirements of this Standard. NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard is as follows. IEC 60245-4:1994 Rubber insulated cables--Rated voltages up to and including 450/750 V--Part 4: Cords and flexible cables, Amendment 1 (1997) and Amendment 2 (2004) (MOD) In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ IEC Guide 21.
